Real prayer?

How sweet and dangerous to be in the presence of God. This what has been gripping me I pray I cry and weep. But sometimes I just pray. But have I went into the fearful and dangerous and holy presence of God? This is longing of my heart. That I just don’t come and pray. Oh I want to taken away by God. This has been the very cry of my heart. It is my deepest desire. “ Such was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD and when I saw it I fell on my face and I heard the voice of the speaking” Ezekiel 1:28How I long to see and know my Lord. “I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and the train of his robe filled the temple. Above him stood the seraphim. Each had six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one called to another and said: "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory!" Then might be that I might see this sight of my Holy God, then might I say ..."Woe is me! For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts!"“Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a burning coal that he had taken with tongs from the altar. And he touched my mouth and said: "Behold, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away, and your sin atoned for."Wow is me this wicked sinner. The more I see Christ in his holiness the more I see my wickedness.

What a amazing thing with when we get a little sight of God, through his word, when praying..Also I have found that in the presence of God there is the fullness of joy.. What better place to be then with God. Oh we can talk about, bu doesn’t it show with our devotion to make time for him? So pray starts with the simple heart love of wanting to be with God.. If we struggle even maybe our love has grown cold and idols are hiding in the dark harden part of our hearts? Even in our weakness God can renew us and pour power out and make our love a new. How much do we want God it simply some down to what we hunger for, what we are willing to give up for the Cross. What are willing to give to pray? But we must have longing in our hearts? We must want God? We must be done with our ways? Oh how I wish this could be heard in each heart like a sword it would go forth and hit our hearts. That we love our God with all, mind, soul, heart. And come loving to talk and be with more then all lives joy.

But it is true my heart is cold, my love is weak. My desire is not burning so. I am happy with this? Oh may it not be. I want my God. I want to taken to my face. I want to be humble and see that face of God. What idols what sin, most I cast side. What has hindered my fire? I do remember I prayed at a time everyday. God make this fire hotter and hotter. But it is True I need Gods “ manifested presence would break down every barrier and sweep away everything that hindered” When I think of fire it burn things up, May the holy fire of God burn my flesh. It is known that fear of is beginning of wisdom, May I really have a Holy fear of God. I left with the question were have I become lukewarm? For this appalling to me me. Then at that let be I should confess such coldness of heart. Wow is me. Amen that man ways will change nothing. It is all Christ coming down and taking hold of our heart. It all about God. Nothing of man. Amen.. So that in the end it will be said great it the Lord. For his honor for his name he works and moves in the hearts of men. Face down is where we are found. Tear down our idols and may Christ rein.If so this is the truth God awaits our humbling and prayers.

Why are waiting? We are not obeying him? Are we not in sin if we are praying? So what does prevailing prayers look like? How can a man have effectual prayers? How does one person how “prayer that was desperate; prayer that stirred people up to such fervency of spirit that they fairly took hold of God.I have seen many times in revival meetings when God's Spirit began to move on people whose hearts were open, and who were hungry for God until that heavenly urge was upon them, and they would pray all night long, wrestling with God like Jacob of old! (Gen. 32:24-30).”“I have seen such tremendous results come after such travailing prayer that I am certain that wherever there is real travailing prayer that takes hold of God, it will bring the presence of God down.”How is this, to gain such a longing in our heart? What truth is it that we are in a great battle. “, and knowing this, he will do anything and everything in the world that he can to choke down a real spirit of Holy Ghost praying. The devil knows that if we recognize that prayer is a real battle, we would be willing to fight in the battle of prayer and not give down because of the pressure of the enemy." For that reason the devil has camouflaged his movements in these days, and he is making a battleground in other places. The devil gets us disputing over doctrines, and fighting over other things--a camouflage to sidetrack us from the real place of battle. There is only one real battleground today and that is the battleground of prayer!”"God demands a real heart of love in us that has a true interest in His work. He is looking for that heart of love before He can cooperate with us. We must take it upon ourselves to stir ourselves up.

Our hearts must be in tune with God and He must have a manifestation of love in our heart and of faithfulness to His cause before He can trust us with His blessing and His power.""Whosoever you are, recognize the tremendous importance of prayer. See the crying need for the presence of God, and acknowledge there is only one way to get God's presence manifested and that is for you, through real, intercessory, prevailing prayer, to stir yourself up to take hold of God. If you will do that, God will manifest Himself.""Get on your face before God and stay there until you have taken hold of God. If you feel yourself getting drowsy, or your mind wandering, take an attitude against your own flesh. Like Daniel, set your face unto the Lord, and with purpose of heart and all the determination of your soul, stir yourself up to take hold of God!"I grown cold in the devotion of my prayer. I have let my sin enslave me. It is true “ whatever over comes a person he enslave to” Should I be appalled that I can say.. I was on fire..I did pray.. But .. But... Oh should I cry out of how been enslaved and a fool to let other things come into my prayer time.. Yes appalled is to light of what could say at such a thing. Yet still I know my heart is still cold in some areas. So what I am do, when I want yet there is still hardiness and sin that keeps from doing what I called to do? This all I can do is cry for more grace to see my sin, and ask to humble this prideful heart. And to turn from my sins. Cast down my many lovers. And Let him take his place in my heart and time. I am one who stand for truth, I will not comprise what God puts on my heart. I am not one to say what is evil as good. But this is a great power my beloved when we come and pray. If you desire to learn to the greater depth of loving other, then get on your face for them. DO you disagree with then pray for them, asking the word for God that will help them. You want to gain a love that is willing to die, this we must be willing to pray for each other. So we can pray. Paul talks of much prayers that grip my heart. How little we love, for we pray so little and with little passion. There is passion in Paul prayer for the beloved. Can I share what God has done in this great battle of prayer..

What will happen if we started praying with Holiness? Men come against you, things come up, I have seen it everything has come against me to stop me from praying. Maybe in my good health it seemed I was strong and had self control and fought to pray. Oh how I gave my self to pray. I woke up early and went and pray for four hours everyday. And work and do other things. I gave my self to hours and hours to prayer. Not because I had to but God said to pray. But Satan was working to brake me down. Slowly bring a little sin here and there, I was being fooled and blinded to his ways. My sins have now kept from praying as I should. I am sick in my body which has played a huge part in this great battled. More then being sick with this sickness oh I am sick at heart for I have not prayed face down, taken into holy presence of God. Now I sick at heart for sin has come and striped me and often weaken me to pray. Letting life and even things that seem good to take away that which should be guarded with my life. Now taken to lightly. I confess in my sickness I have lots some of that fire, yet God by his grace keep firing me heart to pray. I have prayed and prayed, as I am sure some many others have. But I long for more. To brought into to Him..In all His glory.Just a few weeks ago, it hit my heart, What would a life be look like if one prayed so much that it changed their face, it was said they died sooner for they prayed with all their hearts. What if people would look at you and say you have been praying? Can it show us on one face who prays like that? What I have seen that has kept from fighting with all I have? This my beloved, hear this. His word has been and his still my strength. When have his word in my heart and go over it, I can pray. But not me praying the Holy Spirit takes hold of me and speak through me. But without the word I am wondering child not knowing what to say. He helps when I am weak, and helps in my sickness. But weaker I get the greater I feel I need his word and prayer. And more I see It all about His grace that helps me to pray. There is nothing great about me, worse of all sinners. It is his grace that makes me stand and pray. Oh hear this, I am nothing, I am sick child of God. Who is sick all day. Who struggle with this and that. I am no better. It is grace this gift of God, that helps those who cry for his help. He is faithful and will hear. When we confess our sins. He is faithful and just to forgive. Then he is ear are open to our prayers. There is a great battle, who is willing to step out in faith? How much we long for God to come down Hear this we must say I will pray, I will make time for him. Nothing can come in that time. But it is true if you are going pray get ready to battle. But I agree that battle waits for us to join, who willing to step out and pray?“

Let us see to this, and seeing God is pleased with prayer,OFFER IT TO HIM MORE AND MORE. And remember if we do so,, we shall find ablessing in it ourselves. The more we pray, the more we can pray. The more we pray, the more weshall pray. He who prays little will pray less, but he who prays much will pray more. And remember that prayer is effectual with God. We wantto see souls saved”LET US BLEND OUR PRAYERS“If united prayer is sweet to God, let us give Him MUCH of it. We cannot make God happier than He is in reality, for He is the infinitelyhappy God. Yet, if there is anything concerning which He expressessatisfaction, let us abound in it. O church of God, cry day and night to Him. If your voice, O spouse, is sweet in His ears, turn not away yourface and let not your voice be silent. But cry, and even in the nightwatches, pour out your heart like water before the Lord God.”“." The prayers of a saint are sweet, but theprayers of saints are sweeter. United prayers possess the power ofharmony. In music there is melody in any distinct note, but we have all recognized a peculiar charm in harmony. Now the prayers of one saint areto God melody, but the intercessions of many are harmony, and to Godthere is much that is pleasing in the harmony of His people's prayers.”In hIS LOVECHARLENE

SOmething Big

Okay, so today I had a totally supernatural experience, which was all The Father and not me. I'm not uplifting myself, but rather expressing just how good my Father is and well, I need to brag about Him! If I have any pride I want it to be in my Father.
So what happened was I was meeting with these C" guys who are leaders among other C's. We met to discuss some things that the min" we are involved in are coming together to do. Well I went with a friend(me) of mine to their house. When we walked in what we saw on the tv screen was not something we thought was right. It was a bloody, gory, dark and wicked movie. We were literally in shock that these C" had no shame and were comfortable watching this. We had to turn our heads from watching. I asked them to turn it off. Instead, we met in another room. Well, to start our meeting we were first going to PR. The whole time my friend was PRing I could not think, my body was shaking, I had to comtrol myself from shaking too noticeably. I was so shocked, I was so disturbed and grieved by what I had seen. When it came my turn to PR, I could not keep silent. I began to PR and suddenly it was no longer me pr ing, it was Father speaking through me. It was as if my body was not my own, I began to weep and wail and yell and scream over the sinn. "We are to be a holy people! This is the sinn that sends people to hel!" I've never felt such a power in me, it was totally unlike me, and I knew what came from my mouth was not from me but from Father. After I pr ed, and couldn't believe what had just happened, my good friend (me) pr ed again for Father to calm my heart. Oh what a friend she is, she supported me all the way, and was not ashamed of me. After we all pr ed the meeting went so smooth, my friend had such peace, talked so clearly and easily, and it couldn't have worked out better!
When I pr ed I had no fear of what people would think... I could not keep silent. I will no longer keep silent. I praise Father that he allowed me to experience a taste of his power, a taste of his hatred of sinn, and the holiness he requires of his people. OH! For so long have I pr ed that Father would pour down his Holy Sp on me and help me speak truth. The emen has been attacking me telling me it wasn't really father, but I know it was. The emen has been attacking me saying that he will kil me, but I'm in the hands of Father and must not fear. It was so crazy! It was just so crazy! The supernatural was just brought to life! I'm so excited! I just want to experience father, His power, His love, His passion, His holiness.
Oh, Father has put so much on my heart, and has revealed my own sinn to me. Some of my favorite anime shows from back in the day are not beneficial, are not worthy of the life that God is calling me to. Soon enough we will have another bonfire to burn the worldliness that so enslaves us as C, and cutters our lives with sinn. Father's son wants nothing to do with us when we fill our lives with sinn. We MUST be a holy people to be used by Father.
To Him be the glory, honor, and praise. No other name but the name of J do I praise. I just want to be a holy vessel that Father can use, empty of me, empty of sin, filled with the Holy spi, power, and holiness. Oh Spi Come!
My veiw
somthing Big? Do I really know what that is? YUm? Father has put a huge passion on my heart, can I hold it back? I can't be still, no I must speak. I must, I will die. So to night me and Laura went to a planning meeting. I knew something was going to happen. I told her we must pr. Ok she said, So we pr ed on the way then, we got there I said lets read a verse and pr again. My heart just knew something was going to happen when I went through the door, but what I didn't know. So we walked up to the door, and there a a guy whom we both thought we were going to meet, had just gotten out of shower, with no shirt. He close the door then put a shirt on. So we walked in, and there on the TV was a moive, I don't know you will have to ask Laura, but it wasn't a good one. It stirred Laura and she said can you please turn that off, or lets go in a differnt room. The guy we were meeting( we thought we meeting with both?) anyways we went into his room, and there we all sat down to pr. I said yes It would good, So I started I don't even know what I pr ed, but I was so moved in my spir, I thought for sure I was going to cry. But I didn't my heart was heavy., very heavy. I pr ed oh Father help us, come down on us, we need you, I kept saying Father we need you, we need you. Humble me, ( this was suppose to just be a open pr Yum, it was like 10 min's, then Laura started pr ing, and then wow, let her tell what happen... after she was done I started pr ng again, Lord bring peace in her heart, I wasn'r shamed to be there with her, It just made me want to cry. But I pr ed another long pr er. the Spir had met me and Laura, moving heavy showing our vision and passion be then more real. after I was done, her pr ed, then with lifted our heads, I couldn't believe what happend. I was so claim and talked about the planing stuff out, Then we left. what happened I thought? Wow, he gave us a tast of his heart. these next 20 days, that is starting Monday it will be 20 days of pr er for our campus. then spring brake then 20 more days. I think there was something bigger Father was showing us, Somthing way bigger. Father does want His childern to love what He hates and then go ask for blessing. We are fooling ourselves. I want Father to be honored. I don't care about putting no show, we are there to meet with Father. we must humble ourselves we must , now today.

Hate SinS?

How much do we hate our sin?
My bones trembles at the fact I love my sin. I haven't fallen on my face in disgues of the sin I keep delighting in. Have I wept over this sin? How heavy is it on my heart?I WILLING to DISOBEY my glouires Father for monertry pleasure. I have look and sougght out my sinful habbit. My view of the great wickness, the horriable evil of my sin has been discoursed by wrong veiw of this sin. It hit me today, I haven't hated this sin. No I have love it. I cry out, for help. I need God to have his heart toward this sin. God need to change my heart. May Lord change our veiw, to really hate all our sins. I can't help to think this sin I love nailed Him to the cross. I am mocking him by keeping my old ways? I know this is a battle I am often wageing war against my own desires. But Grace has been given. The gift to see and feel as He does.May God really give us hate for our sins

"But Moses implored the LORD his God and said, "O LORD, why does your wrath burn hot against your people, whom you have brought out of the land of Egypt with great power and with a mighty hand? Why should the Egyptians say, 'With evil intent did he bring them out, to kill them in the mountains and to consume them from the face of the earth'? Turn from your burning anger and relent from this disaster against your people. Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, your servants, to whom you swore by your own self, and said to them, 'I will multiply your offspring as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have promised I will give to your offspring, and they shall inherit it forever.'" 14And the LORD relented from the disaster that he had spoken of bringing on his people." The Local Church

It's called 'deception', and the Western church lives in it. We are indeed the church of Laodicea-we perceive things one way, but the Lord Jesus see it quite differently, and unless we repent of our lukewarmness, materialism and self reliance, He will spit us out of His mouth. Does that concern anyone? And what are we (I) doing about it? For real, not just talking and analyzing, but what are we DOING about it?% unregenerated of so called believers) about all things including baptism, church discipline and others. If this statement about, only 20 percent(regenerated by the Holy Spirit
what id say our churches are lacking is humility. true holiness stems from a life governed by humilty.
The vast majority of what we call Church is not Church. What is lacking is the new birth where by unconverted religous people (who call themselves the Church) are radically converted by the Holy Spirit into true saints of God and become members of the true body of Christ. We've lived in this illusion that this is the christian life, but I would suggest that there's a level of christianity of which we know virtually nothing. And the only way we'll get there is by seeking God to make us all that we could and should be in Christ for God. Seeking until He does that work in us in reality
God pouring His Spirit out upon us to make us what we ought to be and when He does that He promised that He would convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. To be brutally honest with ourselves in comparing ourselves to the model God has provided of what His church should be, namely the book of Acts, we'd have to say that even we, though it's hard to own up to the fact, have a form of Godliness but deny the power thereof. I think the devil laughs the hardest at us who are perhaps the most sincere of believers and have the most fervent love for the Lord and are wholy given up to His will but are completely void of the power of God in our lives as demonstrated and defined in the Holy Scriptures.
If the Holy Spirit was withdrawn from the church today, 95 percent of what we do would go on and no one would know the difference. If the Holy Spirit had been withdrawn from the New Testament church, 95 percent of what they did would stop, and everybody would know the difference.”I found this statement very close to the reality, isn't that frightening? (Have in mind it is said probably 50 years ago, how much more it would be true today)

Todays church is lacking the pure gospel,
believe it only a short matter of time before we're brought back to Holy Spirit's rightful preemminence in our lives, and churches, via "preaching" not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in "demonstration of the Spirit and of Power", back to our proper first love and works that we're supposed to have as representatives of our Lord Jesus Christ ! ...my first thought is prayer. true, humble, passionate, holy prayer. when we have forsaken talking to God on a regular basis, suddenly the world and its desires become very pleasing. when we forsake prayer, we become dead orthodoxy; good doctrine, but dead inside. when we forsake prayer, we will begin to indulge ourselves with the flesh and the things of the flesh. that is what the Lord has been speaking to me personally. the modern church lacks the unction or annointing of God manifesting himself in an awesome way and that will only happen as God's people humble themselves and pray. it is only the Spirit that can make dead bones live and only by His Spirit will God do it. "not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit says the Lord"

And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write,'These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: "I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. "So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. "Because you say, 'I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing'--and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked-- "I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. "As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. "To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches

1Jo 2:15-17 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world--the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life--is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever. 2 Corinthians 7:1 Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. Ephesians 5:21 submitting to one another in the fear of God. Hebrews 12:28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.1Pe 2:17 Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king. Rev 14:6-7 Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth--to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people-- saying with a loud voice, "Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water."

Your Prayer Can Reap World Harvest (prayer)

By Wesley Duewel
The task of world evangelization is primarily dependent on witness and prayer. Prayer must prepare the way for evangelization. Prayer must saturate and cover the work of evangelization. Prayer must follow up and conserve the fruit of evangelization. Only as the church prays will there be sufficient harvesters giving themselves to world evangelization and world harvest (Matt. 9:38).
You can have a thrilling role in reaping God’s harvest. Only a small percentage of God’s people are actually involved in seed-sowing, watering, cultivating, and preparing more harvesters, yet all of us could participate on a deeper level than we have ever dreamed.
If you are willing, prayer offers you a way to be significantly involved in world harvest. Prayer does not cancel your duty to witness, give, and help, but it provides an opportunity for you to exert a worldwide influence.
Through prayer you can join any team God is using. Through prayer you can preach through any evangelist, broadcast a radio message in any country, write a Christian book or hymn, or work side by side with any missionary or national co-worker. As you pray, you become partners with all of these. You are not confined by time, distance, or space. Ask God to guide you to the ministry and person or persons He wants you to support in prayer.
Through prayer you can water the harvest. Prayer is God’s ordained means to prepare God’s highway through spiritually dry and arid places, and prayer is God’s ordained way to bring the refreshing water of God’s Spirit to barren lives. The more you pray, the more the water of the Spirit flows. The more you pray, the more the seed sown is watered. The prayer you pray has the potential to turn any heart or desert area into a garden of the Lord.
How can we reap a harvest from Gospel radio broadcasts? By channeling constant streams of prayer to the broadcasts. The extent of the harvest will depend upon the amount of prayer that waters the seed.
How can we multiply the fruitfulness and lasting effectiveness of an evangelistic crusade? By adequate prayer saturation before, during, and after the meetings. So often prayer for a particular area rapidly diminishes after the close of the crusade when the team moves on to the next assignment, and the seed planted in many lives waits for the life-producing rains. This is the time to water the seed through prayer.
Christian literature organizations produce tons and tons of good evangelistic literature. Millions of Scripture portions are distributed worldwide each year. If one-tenth of the seed sown produced a harvest, what a harvest we would see! There is one thing lacking – adequate prayer to water the harvest. You can do something about this, if you will.
Through prayer you can cultivate the crop. The seed is sown and watered, and the tiny seedlings begin to spring up. This is another critical time, when cultivation depends upon follow-up prayer. Jesus warned that trouble, persecution, the worries of this life, and the deceitfulness of wealth would cause some to drop by the wayside and become unfruitful (Matt. 13:20-22).
Pressure from nonbelieving family and friends hinders many others. In some parts of the world, where families are close-knit and traditions are sacred, those who profess belief in Christ risk severe persecution. In addition to being cast out of their homes, young believers realize that educational opportunities may be lost; others may lose their customers or their jobs; some may have clothing and other possessions confiscated or destroyed. In certain Muslim and communist environments the risk includes imprisonment or even loss of life for those who are known followers of Christ.
There is something you can do to help them – something extremely powerful. You can pray daily. Help in any other way you can, but above all, pray earnestly for God to protect the young believers. Your prayer can encourage, strengthen, and protect during this crucial period of new life.
Through prayer you can influence world leaders. Government decisions and decrees are constantly taking away liberty of evangelism and liberty of worship and permitting or directing the persecution of Christians. No outside government can do much to help change this picture, but we are not completely impotent. Through prayer you can become a hidden counselor of these government leaders and authorities without their awareness. How? "The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord; He directs it like a watercourse wherever He pleases" (Prov. 21:1).
It was the Lord who moved the heart of Cyrus, king of Persia, to issue the edict to permit the Jews living in captivity to return freely to Jerusalem (Ezra 1:1). ...It was the Lord who changed the attitude of the emperor Darius (Ezra 6:22) and caused him to order the temple to be rebuilt and the surrounding nations to cease interfering. …It was as Nehemiah prayed and fasted that God prepared the heart of King Artaxerxes, who had already ruled Persia for twenty years. He then authorized Nehemiah, his official, to take a leave of absence and go to Jerusalem to rebuild its walls (Neh. 1:4, 6).
Today, as in the past, rulers of nations plot against Christians and against the Christian church. Laws are promulgated repeatedly to restrict missionary work, Christian witness, the baptism of believers, the assembly of believers in public services, the erection of new church buildings. In some lands Christians are repeatedly imprisoned, severely mistreated, and tortured. Thank God, persecution cannot destroy the Church (Matt. 16:18)!
Seldom does the Church adequately exercise its prayer privilege and prayer authority to change the attitude of political rulers and the treatment of suffering Christians. While again and again God does intervene to protect or help His own, who knows what changes might occur if the Church would only unite to focus earnest, daily, prevailing prayer for authorities in nations where there is active opposition to Christianity.
It is not always God’s will that His children avoid all suffering, or that all the missionary visas applied for be granted. But until God checks our prayer, why not unite in prayer agreement and prayer warfare? Why not use the command of faith in a united effort to change the attitudes of earthly rulers? Satan does not want you to contemplate the miracles that can be wrought through your prayer. Rise up in holy determination to oppose him and bring about God’s harvest!

With Brother Duewel’s article in mind, we invite you to pray for the Herald editions and offices listed at the bottom of page 10. Pray for the Lord’s provision for the Gospel seed to continue to be sown through these editions, and that He will open doors for new editions, including a Chinese edition. Pray for His anointing upon each edition to bring forth an abundant spiritual harvest. Pray for the readers of the various editions to stand firm in the Lord and continue to grow in Him. Pray also for the political and spiritual climate in each of the countries to become more favorable for spreading the Gospel.
Our Lord is gracious and "able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think…" (Eph. 3:20). Only eternity will tell the full story of the Lord’s impact in the lives of others through our prayers!

Rules ( for all guys)

It seems the rules in our cutlure
have changed alot in last 40 years. I would like to step back, to time it was right for men to open the doors, and pull the chairs out. a time of gentle men and ladies. Before a man, had to go to the father to go out with a young lady, but now they go right to her. I now understand how horrible it is when the order is off.
I now see how it safe for women to say no. Also men and women take dating so lighty, as if we can play with love. A women told two story of God ways, I now seeing how little some guys take this, tempter with a heart with no real desire to be married. As a women I fear for my sister and myself who can be trapped in his lies. We should not play with each other heart, but kept pure until we meet our husband/ wife. To se each other as brother and sister in Chirst.
It is my desire to keep my heart and emtions pure.
"Save yourself emotionally for your husband, for your wife. I believe that God’s best, God’s perfect will, God’s sweetest order, as much as possible is that you be a virgin physically, and emotionally when you enter into this matter of marriage."

"Why? I’m saving them for the most precious woman/man in my life. I don’t know who she is yet, but I’m saving them for her. Sorry all of you other young ladies/ guys, this is a prized possession, and I’m saving these emotion for the precious young lady of my life’s partner."

I desire to not allow my feeling to overflow for no one but the man I will someday marry.
"My heart is overflowing with love for you and I want you to know that it’s never overflowed before. I’ve been tempted for it to overflow but I’ve stopped it. By the grace of God, I didn’t allow it to stay". That’s a beautiful way to start, and that’s the right place to end."

No defrauding "stir up desires, that they cannot lawfully fulfill"

revival.

By Sammy Tippit
The following is edited from a message given at the Heart-Cry for Revival Conference in April 2006 at The Cove, Asheville, North Carolina U.S.A.
Revival is a divine move of the Spirit of God. The passion of my heart is that God would send a revival to our land. I believe that is what God wants to do. Our part is to prepare ourselves for revival, to get to a position to receive revival.
There are a lot of things today that are being called revival. I have a burden lest we will settle for far less than what genuine revival really is. Revival is a visitation of God Himself. It is God saturating His people with His presence. It is God moving among His people in such a way that their lives are transformed. When we have met with God, there is no way we can be the same people. Our lives and ministries will be different.
Revival is not something that can be manipulated. It is much more than a grand feeling. It is much more than physical manifestation. Revival is the presence of an awesome, holy God among His people. I am not talking about what we put on a sign in front of our churches saying, "Revival Next Week." Revival doesn’t go from Sunday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Sunday. Revival is when God comes and meets with His people, and His people are changed forever because they have met a holy God.
It was in a genuine revival that took place in a small church that my ministry was born. It was in 1970. My wife and I had been married about a year and a half. We were young and on fire and loved Jesus, and we wanted others to know Him. We were in Monroe, Louisiana, and I was asked by the pastor of a small Baptist church if I would come and preach to the young people at some youth meetings of their church. That pastor, Pastor Morris, was a godly, praying man.
He said, "Son, I’ve been praying and I’ve been seeking God, and I have the sense that God is going to do something among the young people in our church. Would you come and preach?"
I was just starting off in evangelism and I wanted to preach, so I said, "I’d love to come and preach at your church."
He said, "Would you meet with my young people? We’re going to have a prayer meeting Wednesday night. Just meet with the young people and pray with them." I went to meet with the young people, and there were only two or three there. They certainly had no interest in revival, or in God doing anything. I thought to myself, "This is going to be a disaster."
I asked the pastor, "What kind of publicity do you have?" He said, "We don’t have any publicity." I said to myself, "This is going to be embarrassing. This is no way for me to get started as a youth evangelist." I tried to convince him we shouldn’t do this thing, that it was not a good idea. But he kept saying to me this one thing: "I have been praying, and God is going to do something." Every time he would say it there would be a twinkle in his eye and a smile on his face. So I said, "Okay, Pastor, I’ll go with you."
We started off on a Wednesday night and were supposed to go through Sunday. The first Wednesday night there were about twenty-five people present. I preached my heart out, and I gave an altar call for people to repent and give their lives to Christ. Absolutely nothing happened. I was so discouraged. I went to the pastor and I said, "Pastor…," and I saw the twinkle in his eye, and he said, "Sammy, I’ve been praying, and God’s going to do something."
I came the next night and preached with all my heart. There was a singing group from the university there, a youth group, and after they sang I preached and gave the invitation and absolutely nothing happened again. We were about to close the service when a man came up to the pastor and said, "Pastor, I have to share something. I’m a leader of the young people in this church and I have been such a poor example." He gave some specific reasons why he had been such a poor example, and he said, "I have just knelt down and repented and asked God to cleanse me and to forgive me, and I need to stand and ask this church to forgive me, and I ask the young people to forgive me."
Before he could sit down, the leader of the singing group stood up and he said, "I have to tell you there is sin in my life," and he began to confess things in his life. I looked down at the altar and all in the singing group were on their faces before God.
God Was Present!
We came back the next night, Friday, and the church was packed. There had been no publicity; people just came. God was present in the service. God moved again and the altar was filled with people crying out to God, praying, repenting of sin, giving their hearts and their lives to Christ. The same thing happened Saturday. Sunday morning when I arrived at the church I had to park blocks away because there was not enough room anywhere near the church. God was moving in such a wonderful way.
The pastor came to me as I walked into the church, and I saw the twinkle in his eye and the smile on his face. He said, "Sammy, I’ve prayed and I believe God wants us to extend these meetings."
I said, "Okay, Pastor, whatever you say. I’m with you."
He said, "But we’ve got a problem." I said, "What’s that?" He said, "We don’t have room in the church. The crowds are too big." I said, "What are we going to do?" So we moved over to the university campus, and the first night we outgrew the facility on the university campus. We had to move into another facility. Two nights later we outgrew that facility.
The pastor came to me and said, "Sammy, I’ve been praying, and God is up to something wonderful with the young people, much more than we imagined that He wanted to do in this city. I think we ought to go and talk to the former governor of the state, who owns the television station and ask him for time on TV to tell what God is doing in the city."
I said, "Pastor, he would never let us do that," and then I saw the twinkle in his eye, and the smile on his face, and I said, "All right, Pastor."
We met with the former governor of Louisiana. The pastor began to tell him what God was doing. He sat there and listened to Pastor Morris share. The pastor said, "Tell them, Sammy. Tell them, Ray" (who was the leader of the music group), and we began to share what God was doing.
The public school system had been shut down because of racial violence between African-Americans and Anglo-Americans, and there had been fighting between the two groups. During those meetings God had moved and worked, and the leaders of the African-Americans and the Anglo-Americans who had been fighting one another got right with God and went to each other and asked forgiveness of each other, and the schools reopened without incident and with peace in the schools. Everyone was astounded.
My wife shared Christ with one of the most notorious drug addicts in the community. The woman had been arrested and was facing thirty years of prison. She came to a meeting and the presence of God was so strong that night she gave her heart to Jesus Christ. She threw all of her drugs away. That was close to forty years ago, and to this day she has never again taken drugs.
After the ex-governor heard us tell the story he said, "What is it you want?" and we said, "We want to have some time on television to tell what God is doing." He said, "Let me ask you something. You say you have outgrown the buildings. Do you think the civic center would be big enough? It holds 10,000 people." We said, "Well, we guess so." He whirled around in his chair and called the mayor and said, "Mayor, we’ve got some young people that are finally doing something positive for the youth of this city. I want you to donate the civic center. If you won’t donate it, I’ll pay for it, but I’d rather you donate it." And the mayor of the city donated the civic center.
That final night of the services thousands of young people gathered with no publicity, no advertisements. The headlines of the newspaper on the front page were about the revival that God had sent. The 6 o’clock news reported that the Spirit of God had moved in Monroe, Louisiana. The atmosphere of the meetings was interesting. There was not a lot of emotion. There was a sense of awe, a sense of the holiness of God, a sense of brokenness and a sense of repentance.
I fasted for the first time in my life. Fasting wasn’t something I decided to do; I simply couldn’t eat. Between the services, there was a place set aside for prayer, and you wanted to be there in the prayer meeting where there was a sense of God’s presence.
God moved at Asbury College and Seminary just a couple of months after that. There were moves of God that took place here and there throughout the nation, sovereign, divine works of the Spirit of God. That atmosphere cannot be worked up. It cannot be brought down by some dynamic preacher. It is simply a visitation from heaven.
When you read the book of Acts, you find the atmosphere of revival. After Jesus was risen, He sent His disciples back to Jerusalem to pray. He told them, as we read in Luke chapter 24, to go into all the world and proclaim the good news of forgiveness of sins and repentance, and then He told them, "…but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high" (v. 49).
We find in Acts chapter one, the Church was in a prayer meeting. In Acts chapter two, the Church was proclaiming the Gospel. In Acts chapter three, Peter and John were going to a prayer meeting, and in Acts chapter four, the Church was praying. The great missionary movement of the Church was thrust forth in Acts chapter 13, for there were men praying and seeking the face of God.
Beginning in Acts 4:31, we read what kind of atmosphere was in that early Church: "And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the Word of God with boldness. And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that aught of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common. And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all. Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold, and laid them down at the apostles’ feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need" (4:31-35).
Atmosphere of Prayer and Grace
What an atmosphere! The presence of God had filled the people of God! Notice several things that you see in this revival atmosphere created in the early Church. A spirit of prayer and courage and boldness permeated that early Church. Peter, who had denied our Savior three times, stood and boldly proclaimed the message of Christ with power and courage. The disciples witnessed to the truth of the death, the burial and the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
There was a lack of selfishness. There was a spirit of unity within the body of Christ. They loved one another. If one person had need and another had sufficiency of supply, he gave to that other person out of what was given to him. Of that spirit of love among the brothers Jesus had told them, "By this shall all men know that you are My disciples if you have love one to another" (John 13:35).
"…and great grace was upon them all" (Acts 4:33). As people are broken, then great grace is applied to the heart of the humble, and the contrite. This was the atmosphere of that revival. This was the visitation of the Lord. This was God present in the midst of His people. Today we have tried to reproduce revival. We cannot do it. It is God visiting His people and presenting Himself among His people.
Barriers to a Revival Atmosphere
There are several reasons why we cannot produce revival. First of all, there are barriers to that kind of atmosphere in our world today. The first barrier is the cultural barrier. We live in a world that is totally opposed to real, genuine, God-sent revival. We cannot but see the immorality and the sinfulness and the lack of moral standards in the culture, all of which are totally opposed to the presence of a holy God. There are other things that are much more subtle in our culture that are totally opposed to any kind of revival. And many times what you see in the culture you see also in the Church. The Church is more conformed to the world than it is conformed to Christ.
There is a great hindrance to revival in our culture because we live in a culture of busyness, and busyness is a hindrance to revival. The Lord says, "Be still, and know that I am God, for I will be exalted among the nations; I will be exalted in all the earth" (Psa. 46:10). I’m convinced that we’ve not seen revival because we have not been quiet; we have not stood quietly in the presence of an Almighty God to behold Him for who He is, to see what He wants to do, to hear from heaven. We’re so busy telling Him what He ought to do and going here and there and running to and fro that God has not sent revival because we have not sat down to listen to what He wants to do in us. Busyness has stolen revival. It’s a barrier in the culture in which we live.
And I am convinced that anger is a barrier. Broken homes and broken families contribute to a culture that is filled with anger. There are others who might be angry at one another, such as conservatives – liberals; Christians – non-Christians.
When people become Christians and come into the Church, if they do not deal with the anger in their hearts, that anger comes into the Church. I am embarrassed sometimes by the way pastors and church people deal with one another. Our God is a holy God; He is a God of amazing grace, wonderful grace, and yet many in the Church are filled with anger.
I could name other things in our world’s culture, like darkness. We live in a day of darkness that is unprecedented in this country. So this is the culture in the world in which we live today – a culture of busyness, a culture of anger, a culture where it seems so much is opposed to things that are pure, holy, good, of good report and lovely.
Not only are there barriers in the culture of the world, but there are barriers in the Church’s culture. We have developed an evangelical culture that is counter-productive to revival. We have all kinds of leadership seminars. They help us to develop ourselves and to make ourselves the best persons we can be intellectually, emotionally, spiritually and in every way. But it is not our resources that are going to bring revival. In our church conferences and in the various meetings we have, what we are teaching our people is how to be great chief executive officers. You can learn how to lead an organization, but that will not teach you how to have revival.
Church growth in the United States and church growth in other parts of the world are two different kinds of church growth. We’ve got all kinds of methods and ideas and some of them are contrary to Scripture. People of a particular group will grow if they are with their group. The problem with that is that it is contrary to heaven. I grew up in the South where black people could not come into the church of the whites though it might be a great and a fast-growing, evangelistic church. That was contrary to revival. When revival comes, those things fall to the wayside. Revival looks more like heaven than it looks like our culture. The only thing that is going to change the world and change our culture is God Himself – God among His people.
A third barrier to revival is the philosophy that we can do it in our own power. We have become very skilled in what we do and in our oratory. Often conferences at which I am asked to speak are almost like preaching conventions. Revival does not come by the strong arm of the flesh. We have thought that we could produce revival, that we could work it up or preach it down. It is that very idea that is the barrier to revival itself. What we need to do is to humble ourselves and pray and seek His face and turn from our wicked ways. It is then and only then that God will hear from heaven and forgive our sin and heal our land.
You may be saying that this is a negative message. I’m supposed to be talking about the atmosphere of revival and I’m telling us all the reasons we can’t have revival. But we’ll never see revival until we see the impossibility of our doing it ourselves. We face too many barriers. It is impossible for us humans to bring revival. God Himself must bring revival!
Where Is God at Work?
Once you understand the impossibility of man bringing revival, let me tell you the possibility of revival. "With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible" (Matt. 19:26). I see some possibilities that I am excited about. When we see God is at work, we need to take notice, and we need to be a part of it. We need to fan that flame and to pray and to seek the face of God where He is at work.
The first thing I see is that God is doing something among young people. Many of the revivals of the past in our country started on university campuses. Today you can sense somewhat the presence of God at work among university students. There is a seeking and a passion. Young people are tired of business as usual. They want to seek the Lord passionately. There are indications that God is doing something in our universities and schools today. We need to be praying for a mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit on college campuses across this nation and across Canada. I believe God will do it! There is a great possibility of revival on our university campuses.
A second reason I am optimistic about the possibility of revival is that something is happening in the ethnic community. This nation was born out of people who came because they were being persecuted for their faith. God moved among them and sent revival. We had the Great Awakening, when George Whitefield came from Britain to this nation (18th century). He thundered the Word of God out and entire communities would come under the conviction of the Holy Spirit. People repented and gave their hearts to Christ. We’re living in a day in which those of us in this land who are products of that great revival have walked away from our history.
Godly missionaries, who were the outgrowth of the Great Awakening, went to places around the world and proclaimed the Word of God. Wherever they went, they planted in the hearts of praying people the seed of the revival that had moved them. Now God in His sovereignty is bringing people from these lands back to America. I see hope in this.
I co-pastored a Southern Baptist church in Seattle, Washington, some twenty years ago. It was then the largest Southern Baptist church around. Do you know what the largest Southern Baptist churches in Washington are now? They’re Korean churches. I spoke at a Korean student meeting that I think was the most awesome meeting I have spoken at here in the United States. Nancy Leigh DeMoss spoke the first night. Until six o’clock the next morning, thousands were still in that auditorium praying, repenting, and getting right with God.
The next night I was the speaker. A young Korean lawyer from New York City introduced me. That night there was a mighty move of God. I heard someone crying so loudly over his sins, "God, have mercy on me!" He was confessing specific sins and repenting and was so broken. It was the young lawyer from New York City. I haven’t seen that brokenness in our churches. One of the speakers said: "If you Anglo-Americans will not go back to your heritage and take this nation back for God, then we will!" I believe God has sent a new wave of immigrants to this country that have hot hearts that are aflame for God and that want to see God work and move and send revival. I believe that in Canada, too, one of the great opportunities today is in the ethnic community.
Seek Genuine Revival
Our passion is to see a true revival, where the atmosphere is filled with the anointed preaching of the Word of God, where the great truths of the death and burial and resurrection of Christ are given with great power, causing brokenness and repentance in the hearts and lives of the people. Furthermore, we are passionate to see that prayer is permeating the atmosphere and passionate to see a Church saturated with God, a Church that is in awe of the sovereignty of God, in awe of the holiness of God, a Church that sees Him for who He is, which bows before Him and loves Him and proclaims Him for who He is! If we are going to see that atmosphere in the Church, there is only one way we can prepare ourselves and that is to go on our faces before God and pray.
As we pray, the Spirit of God will move people, and He will show us sins in our lives. We must pray and not lose heart, as we are told in Luke 18:1: "Men ought always to pray, and not to faint." If we will do that and persistently ask and keep on asking, and seek and keep on seeking, and knock and keep on knocking, the doors of heaven and the windows of heaven will be open, and God will pour out upon us a revival in the Spirit that we cannot even imagine that He could do. God can do more in one divine moment than we could do in a lifetime. The thing we need to do is to get into a position where revival will come, and that is a position of humility, of brokenness, of repentance. As we go before the Lord and seek Him for who He is and cry out to Him and pray for revival, God will send revival in His time, in His choosing and in His way.
There are times and seasons in which God moves. You don’t know when that is. You don’t know where the wind comes from; you don’t know where it goes to. But when He comes, He ministers, and there are times of openness in peoples’ hearts that there have never been before. There is a great harvest that takes place. The greatest evangelistic harvests always take place in times of revival.
Seasons of revival have always been preceded by great seasons of prayer. We have prayed and prayed for such a revival in America. If we never see it with our own eyes, we have that blessed assurance that it is coming, for "faith is the substance [assurance] of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" (Heb. 11:12). Whether we see it or whether we do not see it, we will pray and we will seek the face of God until revival comes or until Jesus comes for us. I believe that when we have such a heart, we are preparing the soil, because the soil of revival has always been prepared by the prayers of God’s people.
Pray for nothing less than a genuine God-sent, Holy Spirit revival! We cannot create an atmosphere of revival, but we can be silent before the Lord. Whatever He speaks to your heart, let Him do in your life. If there is something you need to repent of, if there is sin you need to confess and turn away from, if you’ve become discouraged and grown weary in your prayer life, you need to come back to God and be still, and find a place and a time to be with Him and seek Him. Let that time be now.

Tozer (prayer)

"Oh, I am never lonely. Christ said, `I will never leave you nor forsake you,' and, `Lo, I am with you alway.' How can I be lonely when Jesus is with me?"

Always remember: you cannot carry a cross in company. Though a man were surrounded by a vast crowd, his cross is his alone and his carrying of it marks him as a man apart. Society has turned against him; otherwise he would have no cross. No one is a friend to the man with a cross. "They all forsook him, and fled."

The pain of loneliness arises from the constitution of our nature. God made us for each other. The desire for human companionship is completely natural and right. The loneliness of the Christian results from his walk with God in an ungodly world, a walk that must often take him away from the fellowship of good Christians as well as from that of the unregenerate world.

His Godgiven instincts cry out for companionship with others of his kind, others who can understand his longings, his aspirations, his absorption in the love of Christ; and because within his circle of friends there are so few who share his inner experiences he is forced to walk alone. The unsatisfied longings of the prophets for human understanding caused them to cry out in their complaint, and even our Lord Himself suffered in the same way.

The man who has passed on into the divine Presence in actual inner experience will not find many who understand him.

After all, he is a stranger and a pilgrim, and the journey he takes is not on his feet but in his heart. He walks with God in the garden of his own souland who but God can walk there with him

He lives not for himself but to promote the interests of Another. He seeks to persuade people to give all to his Lord and asks no portion or share for himself. He delights not to be honored but to see his Saviour glorified in the eyes of men. His joy is to see his Lord promoted and himself neglected. He finds few who care to talk about that which is the supreme object of his interest, so he is often silent and preoccupied in the midst of noisy religious shoptalk.

It is this very loneliness that throws him back upon God. "When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up."

One, that the lonely man of whom we speak is not a haughty man, nor is he the holier-than-thou, austere saint so bitterly satirized in popular literature. He is likely to feel that he is the least of all men and is sure to blame himself for his very loneliness. He wants to share his feelings with others and to open his heart to some like-minded soul who will understand him, but the spiritual climate around him does not encourage it, so he remains silent and tells his griefs to God alone.

His loneliness makes him sympathetic to the approach of the broken-hearted and the fallen and the sin-bruised. Because he is detached from the world he is all the more able to help it.

Leaving Home from young girls ( women hood)

All this danger is greatly heightened in the case of those who have personal or mental accomplishments. A beautiful young woman, withdrawn from the fostering care and ceaseless vigilance of a judicious mother, and exposed abroad to the crude and licentious gaze of the world, is ever an object of alarm to her family—and it were well if she were so to herself. It is perhaps a rare case for such a female to be ignorant of her charms; it is rarer still for her to be more afraid than vain of them, and to be more anxious that they should not lead her into danger, than that they should secure for her admiration.

But I now speak of a different kind and purpose of separation from home. I contemplate the young woman, not led out by that right hand, the "cunning" of which is to be employed for her support; nor going away, leaning upon that arm which is to be continually stretched over her for protection—but departing solitarily and mournfully on the journey of life, to meet alone its dangers, cares, and toils. It is sad enough to see a young man leaving his father's house, and leaving home to earn his daily bread by the sweat of his brow; how much more to see a young female thus going forth to seek her own support. What is she but a lamb venturing out into the wilderness where wolves abound; or a young dove leaving its nest to fly abroad amid eagles and vultures! How many in the progress of life, and amid its changes, some of which are so melancholy, look back to the hour of separation and exclaim, "O my mother, how sad and certain presages of what awaited me were those bitter tears I shed on that morning when I tore myself from your embrace! My heart then sunk, and the sun of my life then set never to rise. Every step since then of my dark journey has been one of sorrow—and every change only of one calamity for another."

What is to comfort her now? Only the balmy influence of religion—the consciousness that she is in the way of duty—and the testimony of her conscience that she is discharging her obligations with scrupulous fidelity. This can and this will do it. She whose heart is renewed by Divine grace; who has genuine faith in our Lord Jesus Christ; who walks with God as her divine, unchangeable, omnipotent Friend, and communes with him as her Heavenly Father; whose affections are set on things above; and who considers life as a probation for eternity—she will find in such a state of mind—a source of consolation—a means of endurance—an element of happiness—which will counterbalance all discomfort, disquietude, and distress.

With true dignity she will bow to the will of God, and consider her situation as his appointment. She will find satisfaction in submission. Her religion will impart much patience, and something of cheerfulness—it will control her disposition, and throw an air of loveliness over her character, which will give her an interest in the heart of her employer. She will always find companions in her Bible and other good books—in her closet of devotion and in communion with God, a sweet retreat from the coldness and unkindness of her fellow-creatures; and in meditation upon the everlasting rest above, a blessed substitute for the comforts of the home she has left on earth. Faith in God, in Christ, in Providence, in heaven—can comfort, has comforted, and will comfort in the dreariest situations of life, and in the bitterest agonies of death.

To maintain a course of conduct, seek by prayer the grace and wisdom which come from on high, and under all the trials of your situation, whether the waywardness of the children, or the ingratitude, pride, or petulance of the parents—seek the comfort which comes from the Father of mercies, and the God of all consolation

Governesses in a school are a class of young women, who, though acting under the direction and supervision of another, and therefore with less responsibility than those who reside in a family—have to discharge very important duties, for which high qualifications, both intellectual and moral, are essential.

Pre-October (Confessions)

The weekend before halloween of 2006, a couple friends of mine and I had a sort of celebration. This was no normal halloween celebration. This was a ceremony to worship God. A few weeks before this celebration took place my grandfather had come to visit. My grandpa is not a Christian, however he looked at what I had to say about my faith and how I dressed and how it didn't seem to correlate. So, I decided it was time to get rid of some of my clothes that were not beneficial in my walk with Christ and my Christian influence on a wicked world. Weeks before that halloween weekend we all three gathered together things that were not glorifying to Christ, that were sinful, that stood in between us and Him. We gathered together and built a fire. We prayed and spent hours burning the evil that had once been a part of our lives. Clothing, magazines, jewelery, pictures, all sorts of material things as well as the things of our hearts. What better way to celebrate halloween, giving to God, destroying evil, and spending time in song and prayer!? I'm thinking of starting a yearly or biyearly tradition of this sort because it was an amazing time. I look back on that day and think wow, let's do it again, I bet I could burn more! :)"These are my words from one year ago. Once again, October is approaching and it will be time to continue the tradition. The month of October will be a time of fasting and prayer, of self-examination and examination of what we own, what we love, and what we cling to in this world. Saturday October 27th is the planned day that we will gather together, build a fire, and cast away that which is unholy and unworthy of our call as Christians. This is for the glory and honor of our heavenly father.Charlene and I will be posting updates throughout September and October to confess the sins of our hearts that God reveals to us... these will be our October Confessions. We invite all of you to take part with us this October, to search your hearts and your homes for sin that might be evident or tucked away, that we might cast it off for the glory of Christ. We invite you to build your own fires and come together as the body to worship God.That we might put off the sin that so easily entangles... that we might put on Christ and holiness... that we might look more like Christ and not be conformed to the ways of this world!Laura and Charlene

Broken and Humble ( writing, confession)

Sweetly broken I guess I could say..I sat there and the tears started to come. My heart was angry . Bitterness started to fill my heart. I prayed God speak I am drowning here. I want to run away. I was sitting at Care group next to me was my friend. My heart burst in pain. It seem everywhere I looked I saw pain. My heart was crying, I can't bear it lord help me. He began to ask what did you hear God speaking to you at Church today . During Church he was talking about what it meant to be part of the local body and willing to give your life for her. I agreed with everything that he was saying. I agree we are to be part of the Local and God displays his glory through it. How it is a family. What is a family? Do we love each other that way? But my heart look around I judge this place they don't love me. I am ignored. My heart long for this love within the Church . I sat there holding back my tears. My chest was hurting I was so upset in side. I sat there again my heart braking. I felt sick and I wanted to go home. I didn't want to be there anymore. As a few shared my heart kept getting heavier. I had to share. But will they think? I can’t do this I wont. But I couldn’t bear it I had to be honest with them. I had to humble my heart before them, and be real. I said lord I have fear, please give me your grace. I said with a soft voice I have something to share, what God has taught or showing me today.. But I have to be honest I have fear to share. " I have been on a road of struggles this last two months. I went to my mothers, were in was only pain and heart ache I was faced with past rejection and misunderstanding. I had to let go and forgive. To carry none of the pain of past. But cry through the pain and ask God to heal. Then I travel to flagstaff. where I was hoping that body could some how meet this need in my heart. and my physical needs. My heart was in sorrow and joy. God was teaching that in sorrow comes the greatest gifts of knowing him more. Weaker I seemed to get, and sorrow grew. Although it was only short moments, I was fighting them. They told me to make my need known and I did. Once again I felt they just pushed me off. No place were opened, So many were saying be filled and be warm, but they didn't want to help me. There were a few who I was blessed by. I felt they had no desire to meet the need, or concern to great to do anything for some. And those who did had no means. I no other choice but to trust God and not man. Some many were willing to meet the needs of missionary I beg the question are we not the same? If we can write a check for missionary why are not willing to help who are in our Church? I felt hurt and rejected by some I knew. But God was teaching me a new way of what it means to love the body through this..My whole thinking had been changed on what and how we to give our lives for the Body of Christ. How little I give. How little I willing love. I ask the lord make me willing to give al I have if so. Do I hold to close that which I have. And how we are to be family. Some say that with family we have to do this and that because we are blood but how much more with the blood of Christ bring us together? We are family we should want to help each other, not they had to but we should love to help the poor? Love to help our family, anyway we can. We are to give our lives for them. Willing to die for them? But I know God has brought me back to a deeper trust in Christ. ..It wasn't about meeting my needs God is able to do that. It seems the lack of awareness of the Church to help a sister. I cried and cried asking God to take me home when I was in Flagstaff, I was at my end. It so was from my sorrow God was bring a new growth in my heart. and now I am here and I don't feel this Church and this group loves me.( Don’t get me wrong there were many people in flagstaff that loved me and I am every thankful and praise God for them. I am thankful for there friendship and kindness they showed me.) This is my feeling. I have pride and misjudgment towards you. I confess this to you all. I ask you forgive me. I don't feel cared by this group. I have to ask for your forgiveness, I misjudge you. maybe pride is in my heart, basing this off feeling and we can't trust our feeling. Because I don’t see people asking how I am, how is my health? How are you at Church? Who is coming after to want to get to know me? Don said, I am hearing this right you are saying that you feel that it seems we have failed as a care group to make you feel care for and a Church? I looked around as 20 or more eyes were looking at me and said yes.. I said I want God to brake down the walls that are put up when I misjudged and think of you in the wrong way. Even if you are wrong and sin by not reaching out, I am called to love you all as to give my life for you. But I can't love with these walls. So I ask for pray for these walls to broken down. A girl asked. So what can you do to put on? I said I guess I am to reach out and love you all even if you never come up to and make me feel love. I guess I can make a effort to get know you and reach out to you. I can walked into the Church with a right heart that says I will go and say hi to people and love them. beside waiting to be loved. One girl said please forgive me I walked by you, and I didn't want to take the time to get to know you. I said I forgive you, and rest of group ask me to forgive them. I said you know I struggled with saying I will be part of this Church if Gods here in Tucson. I see this where God wants me, I must humble myself and being willing to love you. I walked in with a heart that wanted to leave , after humbling my pride and asking forgiveness I felt like I could fly. I was free from that sin. I freed to love them. free to give my heart to them. I know what God calls of me to love even if they don't. The question was this how much I am willing to give my heart my life for this family my Local Church? are we willing even if is silly to be honest and confess our sins to another? It was hard but it was wonderful at the same time.. Blessing are mixed with pain. blessing Charlene

Leonard Ravenhill . on Prayer ( Prayer )

Prayer protracted prayer groaning prayer fasting prayer weeping prayer speechless prayer
belongs to those initiated into a spirit of prayer, that is, into praying in the Holy Gost To the uninstructed terms like these mean works I could added a sweet hour prayer. Yet actuality that sweet hour is much
taken up with bible study Prayer is to be a prayer meeting? To many Church adding bible study with prayer meeting. This brings weakness
Yet no Church can operate on one hour of prayer a week, yet alone half hour we are giving collectively to intercession.
I believe most of us will need the tears wiped from our eyes when the books are opened at the judgement bar of God, and our personal prayer record is read.
" Teach me to pray implant in me all the dispositions needful for the prayer of Holy Spirit. Make me humble, simple needy in you. Jean Nicolas
"prayer is taxing prayer is exacting prayer means enduring prayer means denying self a daily dying by choice,
" is wrong when go fishing instead of praying or without the Spirit leading.
Prayerlessness is sin
" if we were have as spiritual as we thought we were we would be going to Church these days as with sackcloth on our bodies and handful of ashes to anoint our unworthy heads.
Prayer in many ways our domestic life scattered
" How wilt thou get a word from God if thou do not seek it? And how can seek it but by earnest prayer? Thomas boston
preacher must prayer
" prayer is something we love or we loathe
men who pray want to pray they are happy in being obedient and calling on the name of the Lord
" we are not only going to be judge for what we have done, but what we could have done? Tozer

With in A house ( story)

With in the home...
There was a man of prayer, whom filled the house with a atmosphere of prayer he is a courteous loving sympathetic, sweet spirit, gentle, Christ like. He was such a man who pours out his heart daily at the family altar. There would be a burning passion in his heart to pray with each child of his. To speak the word into their lives. There you might hear the weeping of the gentle hearted man broken over the dying world. There you might hear his pleas for mercy and grace to wicked
and sinful people. And there you might hear and joyful worship of all praising there wonderful
king. Any looking upon this sight how this man treasured Christ he was his prize his all, his love. He could n’t hide the joy that shined for his face, he was in love. He made it a great delight to
bring Christ into family in every way. He would cry " give me souls or I will die" "let us love you more then all the worldly things" " For don’t we count it pleasure to walk with God" As one looked upon his face it was radiant shining the glory of God. He was a remarkable father husband and friend. Although he didn’t speak much he framed his rely with much wisdom and love. He was full of enthusiasm and zeal to preach Christ.

What I am to Pray? (Sin and Prayer)

What I am to pray? What is God putting on my heart? Can I hear the voice God in my heart? What is it saying. I am broken over our lack of love for God. What I am I to pray..
What of those men in the Bible what did they pray? Did God hear? There are many times God brought judgment to many nations. Do I fear God? Is he not the maker of Heaven and earth? Who can compare with Him? Who can tell God what to do?
How Holy is He? With should fall to our faces in fear and turn from our wicked ways. He is not man but God. Mose was called out by God to save His people. He parted the red sea, but praise and wonder. And yet the turn to worthless gold cow. God judge and killed many for their sin.
God is known for killing thousands for their wickedness. Yes as people of God we are to separate ourselves from the world. And we post we read and even sing about how we love God, we sing of how we long to be holy. But in truth how many are fully broken our lack of love for Christ. Who is willing to die, Christ. How many truly fear death?
You shall be holy as I am Holy. He has the right to pour he wrath on America for all her sins. Our harden hearts. Yes God done in the past and he could do it again. God brings life and brings death. You are lovers of the world, Church is unclean and not willing to repent.. But this that it? Say fear oh God is bring His wrath repent repent. Indeed take these words and let them prices your heart. But that can’t be the end. There is more to Gods heart. There more. Hear his voice speaking to his love, his bride. I will restore I will hold you I will keep you. I will bring you back I do this for my honor. How many times would God so merciful? Did he always pour out all his wrath. Yes suffering is our Brith right. Yes let us rejoice in such things. But to forget how good our God is. Now Jeremiah saw no receptive, yet did he not cry out with everything inside Oh God save us. Turn them back to you. It was a burning in his bones. His food was his food. So do we keep praying for hope in the calamity? Do you we pray for pain that greater light will be seen? Our God is powerful and will act. I can’t stop praying for Gods mercy I can’t stop praying for the greater glory been seen through this all. It beats within my heart, I must pray even harder. So what do I pray that which the holy Spirit puts on my heart, let him lead our prayers.

My Question Who is willing to Suffer? ( Writing)

So my question is this, what did he die for ,what did his savior mean to him .The reality is simply this, if Christ is seen in all his supreme glory and to understand Jesus’s purpose and the purpose he has given us which is to do the will of the father .Then your life will be seen as giving nothing less than a completely devoted life in service to our Lord .Suffering will be seen as a privilege and dying will be a honor and forfeiting the thing of this world will be like discarding garbage .Time with Christ will be seen as sacred and protected at all cost. It would be the time you love above all else .
Life would be set on the reality of heavenly things ,your eyes would be focused on only this and not of the world .Then you press on to achieve the heavenly goal .You store up treasures in heaven were they will last for eternity .We would run in such away to receive our inheritance ,throwing aside all hindrances ,fleeing from distraction remaining focused .So that in the end we will know, we did not run our race in vain .We will rejoice when trials come and we will cling to his eternal promise in the face of evil .Your will sing when mocked and rejoice when death is upon you ,the swift hand of God’s glory will set you free .
So the question is have we seen Christ work in all his glory ,for we have heard the angels cry out Holy, Holy is the Lord . If you have seen him in all this power you would have had an encounter beyond measure ,you could not dismiss the ultimate experience .The impact would make one yielded with eagerness and diligence to the work and advancement to the kingdom of God ,ones heart would burn for the intimacy ,as they were reminded of his un bounding love that never fails and is everlasting .They would see his forgiveness as a constant reminder of his sacrifice for them .If we had the same attiute as Christ we would feed the hungry , house orphans and widows in distress ,For Christ came to serve as we must also be servants .
Our or prayers are urgent with much agonizing with weeping and longing for those who are lost
,are we crying out ,does the weight of sinners burden our hearts .We would spend more time in prayer in the communion with our father pleading, intercessors on there behalf .If we saw the reality of there eternal destination of hell that waits for them .If we cherished this secret time in communion with God ,not forsaking it for worldly pleasures but if we got intimate with God and devoted ourselves with prayer and drew near to him he would draw near to us .He would reveal his infinite resource filling us with his mighty and glorious Spirit .Then his truth ,his compassion and forgiveness would become fruitful in our lives .This would stir a passion that would flame into an unquenchable fire for the lord .Making Christ our focus and our reason for life .

We should strive to make God’s word a meditation of our heart and if we pray God’s word there would be great power from it .We would rejoice at knowing God is good and he listens to his followers . For he does not withhold good for those who ask ,he delights in being the giver. So we can have confident hope in our prayers being answered ,regardless of yes or no his answered are always given .So if we saw Christ in his greatness with his passion and compassion it would penetrate the reality that life means living for him. We would see Gods tremendous love for the lost .The thought of thousands perishing in the fires of hell. Would inspire a revival amongst our core soul and spirit .We are willing to go sleepless nights ,hungry ,and threats of persecution ,torture and many unthinkable acts in the name of our Lord .Christians stand up and let us not be afraid of the calling that is within us ,we are called to serve and yet we remain idle as if there is another purpose in our lives .Like a doctor on call with his alert on high ,anticipation of the next emergency on the horizon ,so must we be on call inattentive and alert for our response is crucial to those who are dying spiritually and without emergency operation of there conditions of there hearts they will die ,a death more horrible than one life but an eternal death .If we are reminded of what sacrifice Christ beared for us , surely we would fall to our knees as who are we to be worthy of such a gift . We would seek with desperation knowing our great need for savior .Jesus the king of king and lord of lord who dwells in the house of the Lord became human to bear the cross and to become the all sufficient sacrifice for the failing world .We would then walk in the footsteps of Christ if we can learn sacrifice and take up our own to cross and die to self forever living in Christ.

Is our devotion weak or strong is Christ our delight or an add on .Is he our focus and our first or is he a inconvenience something that we do not thirst. Do give him lip service and go through the motions or is our hearts torn with emotion .Are we comfortable and content in deception of false joy ,for the fullness of joy is in the presence of, God and cannot be replaced or substituted .One might experience from prayer, joy ,power and blessings that are givin by the holy spirit .There eyes would be open to the fullness of God and all his Glory

So mabey if we remember what God did for the Israelites in parting the Red Sea and other great miracles then if you remember your own testimony of how God brought you from death to life ,and performed the greatest miracle in your life then remember this great miracle .Then we are captured by Christ and he is the essence for our life .It would no longer seem foolish to give our lives for the gospel .We would remember who we are living and dying for ,we would remember he lived and died for us. We would love and be willing to lay down our lives because he first loved us .So is it that we don’t see God in all his glory and the beautiful sacrifice on the cross that he performed for us .Would our worship, lives, aberration and our willingness to suffer be with great enthusiasm as we look to the cross for our joy .
But beloved you must also reminder that all hope to do can not done with God’s help. For I want to do good, but I will fail, time and time again. Our power lays in Christ. We are each a sinner saved by grace, but He says my grace will supply our needs. So whatever you do pray. Pray with zeal, and passion, don’t give up. Pray until He answers. Pray day and night. Be devoted prayer, and you will have much power in your life, for He loves giving good gifts to His children.
